Q: Does the CCA only process complaints about businesses? A: Consumers are encouraged to file official complaints about businesses, as well as neighbors, doctors, or any other unethical or unacceptable actions. Q: Can my name be kept anonymous after I file a complaint? A: Yes. While filing your complaint, you have an option to keep your name completely anonymous. Q: A salesman from a large company lied to me about what I was purchasing. Is this grounds to file an official complaint? A: Yes, absolutely. All too often, companies hide behind crooked terms of service, while their salesmen lie to your face. Companies like this, regardless of their size, should be held accountable. Q: Who will review my complaint after it is filed with the CCA? A: Each and every complaint filed with the CCA is manually reviewed by an official CCA agent. Q: How will I check up on the status of my complaint? A: After you have filed your complaint, you will be issued a Case ID number. You can use this Case ID number to check into the site to check on the status of your complaint. You will also be sent email notifications when the case status has changed or progress has been made. Q: I am a business owner who would like to be officially approved by the CCA. How do I proceed? A: To remain completely unbiased, the CCA offers business approval without any cost to the business owner. To have your business reviewed, please use our contact form and ask for an official review. (Note: If your business has any unsettled complaints on record, you will NOT be eligible for CCA approval.) Q: I am a business owner and I would like to settle an outstanding complaint filed against me. How do I proceed? A: Contact us using the online contact form, and an agent will discuss any pending complaints against you to work out a solution that satisfies the consumer. Q: How do I sign up for the CCA's consumer tips and advice newsletter? A: During the complaint filing process, you will have the opportunity to provide your email address. We will address our consumer tips to that address. Q: My neighbor cut down a tree on my property, is this grounds for to file a complaint? A: Absolutely. If your neighbor did not have permission to do this, he was likely in the wrong. Q: My insurance company is failing to pay a claim. Should I file a complaint against them? A: If you believe that they have acted unethically, you are encouraged to file a complaint against them. attorney-client relationship. CCA is a non-governmental agency that reviews and catalogs consumer complaints.
As part of the CCA's mission to empower the consumer, it offers a
series of tips and advice to help the consumer on daily transactions.
Although this advice is aimed at protecting all consumers, not all advice
given will be relevant to the individual consumer.
Due to a rise in lower
quality products, confusing terms of service, and unethical business
practices, the CCA hopes to provide comfort to those frustrated by
conventional corporate excuses.
File Complaint | Check Case Status The CCA processes and catalogs complaints from citizens that have not made significant progress through conventional customer service routes established by businesses. The CCA does not accept money from any companies or organizations for the purpose of purging filed records.
